"This Gewürztraminer was made with spicy food in mind, particularly South East Asian, Mexican and Indian cuisine. It can be difficult to match wine with spicy food, as alcohol can actually increase the perception of heat and clash. The “Geewhizz” as it’s affectionately known, is made in a half-dry style with a touch of residual sweetness (about 30gL), that handle spice perfectly. “Gewürz” in German means “spice”, and this wine exudes fragrant, spicy aromatics, white flowers and hints of rose water. Lychees and lemon drops dance on the palate. The texture and complexity is further elevated through the use of seasoned French oak."
